The Hero Project has been launched to give the cannabis industry a way to give back to American’s veterans by providing them with financial assistance, job training and housing. The 2021 goal for the Hero Project is to generate $1 million in donations for veteran charities.

Hero Project also provides Michigan cannabis provisioning centers with a simple way to meet their social equity obligations under the Michigan Marijuana Regulatory Agency licensing requirements.

Hero-branded products will be sold in provisioning centers with a portion of the wholesale costs earmarked for the Hero Fund, which is a 501 (C) (3) nonprofit organization registered in Michigan.

The Sacrifices that veterans have made for our freedoms are something that we owe a great deal to as Americans. Our nation’s veterans deserve the dignity in choosing their own treatment plans as well as the right to benefit from all that cannabinoid therapy has to offer. Studies have shown that cannabis-based plant therapies are more preferred to the many prescription medications being used currently to service our nation’s veterans. The Hero Project is helping show the world the true impact that this amazing plant has to offer its veterans.

The Hero Project USA is an affiliate of the Canna Social Equity Fund, serving as the Project’s fiduciary for all donations. The Canna Social Equity Fund was established to help licensees meet social equity and community development requirements set by the State and local governments.

The Canna Social Equity Fund was designed to provide overarching community development support to those in the Cannabis Industry who are committed to substantive community change. The Hero Project is a great example of how the Canna Social Equity Fund can support the efforts of like-minded businesses interested in changing the lives of the people around them, specifically veterans.

The key to the Hero Project is keeping the charitable donations in the provisioning center’s local community. The veteran charities that work with the Hero Project serve as both customers and brand ambassadors. These partners gain no-cost publicity through the Hero Project website, email campaigns, social media, audio, and video promotions.

For as long as there has been a concept of freedom and a United States of America, there have been veterans suffering immense physical and mental traumas as the price of that freedom. Despite our calls for help, our elected officials continue their hostility towards the idea of utilizing cannabis to help ease our suffering.  The Hero Project aims to provide invaluable resources to help enact real impact into the lives of our community’s veterans.

About Hero Project USA

The Hero Project USA raises donations to support veteran charities through the sale of Hero-branded products. Working with local small businesses, our goal is to connect them to local charities that support veteran causes, helping to solve problems like homelessness, poverty, domestic abuse, drug abuse, PTSD, and suicide. A generous portion of the profit from the sale of these products will go to a veteran charity chosen by the local business. This larger share to the charity is built into our model and is designed to set us apart from other organizations by creating a greater financial impact.
